Christy Cowell, DMD

From a very young age, Dr. Christy Cowell found a keen interest in dentistry in part from watching her mom who had worked as a Dental Therapist and ran a successful small business in her hometown of Toronto, Canada.

That interest, along with her passion for helping people, led Dr. Cowell to the highly-regarded Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, where she earned her Doctorate in Dental Medicine. After spending the early part of her career in Boston, Dr. Cowell relocated to Northern Virginia where she began sowing her roots in Leesburg. 5 years after joining the Loudoun Dental Smiles team, Dr. Cowell purchased the practice from Dr. Sandy Varney, and she has worked diligently ever since to give her patients the best dental experience Loudoun County has to offer. In her free time, Dr. Cowell enjoys spending time with her husband, 2 young sons and their rescue pup, Dempsey. She loves traveling and all sorts of creative activities.
